Description

The MR-352 Pozitiv-E (NATO designation: “Cross Dome A”) is an X-band (IEEE) or I-band (NATO) two-dimensional naval surveillance and target acquisition radar. It is designed for small and medium-sized ships, supporting the SA-N-11 “Grison” short-range defense system with an instrumented range of 70 nautical miles (128 km). The system features a parabolic antenna with a horn radiator, flanked by half-wave dipoles and reflectors for an integrated secondary radar, and a passive direction-finding antenna at the rear capable of receiving signals from foreign ships up to 300 km away. The antenna is housed in a radome, which externally appears identical to that of its successor, the 3D MR-352-ME1.2 “Positiv-ME1.2” radar.
