Design The landmine had a smooth finish and is painted green but it has an unfinished seam along the bottom edge. The landmine is similar to the US M14/Vietnamese MN-79 and appears to be a simplified version. The landmine has a small knurled detonator cavity cap on the bottom which also acts as the detonator carrier.
Pressure Plate The MD-82B has a full surface pressure plate with a slot on either side of the plate. In the safe condition, it will have a horseshoe type safety clip around the pressure plate which prevents the plate from being depressed.
