Description

The Thundart is a high mobility, wheeled, multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) developed by Safran and MBDA to meet the requirements of the French Armed Forces. The Thundart artillery system will use 227mm rockets with an estimated range of 150 kilometers. The weapons launched from the new artillery system are expected to reach 500 kilometers in the near future. The Thundart project was launched in 2023 under the FLP-T program and the first live fires are expected within 2026 with the entry into service slated for 2030.
