Description
The US Space Force (USSF) Space-Based Airborne Moving Target Indicator (SB-AMTI) is a new constellation intended to track and target airborne threats from space. SpaceX was awarded a $4 billion contract in late May 2026 to build the new constellation starting in 2028. The second and third generation SB-AMTI spacecraft are expected to be operational by 2035.
