Description
The Arjun Main Battle Tank (MBT) was developed by India to provide enhanced survivability, lethality and fire on the move capability to Indian Army's armored units. It is an indigenous development started in 1971 with some parts supplied by foreign corporations. Externally, the Arjun MBT looks like Germany's Leopard 2 A4 and Japan's Type 90 MBTs.
