The Autonomous Truck Mounted Howitzer (ATMOS) is a 155mm 52-caliber truck-mounted, high mobility, self-propelled howitzer developed by Elbit Systems to meet the requirements of the Armed Forces of Israel. The ATMOS has a maximum range of 40 kilometers firing standard 155mm projectiles. The modular architecture of ATMOS allows integration onto both 6x6 and 8x8 truck platforms. The initial ATMOS models featured a 39-caliber barrel back in the early 2000s under the ATMOS 2000 designation.
