Description
The People's Liberation Army (PLA) U8E is an unmanned rotorcraft intended to conduct intelligence, surveillance, target acquisition and reconnaissance (ISTAR) missions during day and night under severe weather conditions. The U8E type unmanned helicopter is a 200kg class aircraft independently developed by the Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC) for both civil and military customers. The aircraft versatility is aimed at various applications including a potential armed version. The U8E unmanned helicopter was first showcased at the Dubai Airshow, United Arab Emirates, in November 2013.
