Description

The L-SAM Block 1 Interceptor has been designed to engage ballistic missile targets at ranges of up to 150 kilometers and altitudes between 40 and 60 kilometers. The L-SAM interceptor is capable of Mach 9 and has been designed to counter North Korea’s KN-23 and KN-24 tactical ballistic missiles. The missile was first test fired in November 2022 and is expected to enter service in 2028.
