Description
The German Armed Forces Air Defence System, Short- and Very Short-Range (LVS NNbS) is intended to protect high mobility, maneuvering forces from a wide range of airborne threats. The LVS NNbS solution is based upon the Boxer 8x8 armored vehicle equipped with a turret carrying four IRIS-T SLS surface-to-air missiles. The turret is outfitted with an array of electro-optical sensors as well as medium caliber gun. Germany ordered the development of the LVS NNbS weapon system in January 2024.
