JRC Radar 3000
The JRC Radar 3000 is a compact naval radar system manufactured by Japan Radio Co., Ltd., designed for pleasure craft and small fishing vessels. It features a high-resolution monochrome CRT display and operates at a frequency of 9445 MHz ±30 MHz. The system utilizes a patch antenna, housed within a 24-inch diameter radome, which produces a fan beam pattern with a beamwidth of 6° horizontally and 25° vertically. Transmitting pulses with a peak power of 4 kW, the radar offers an instrumented range up to 24 nautical miles (NM) with a pulsewidth of 0.7 µs, and a minimum range of approximately 0.125 NM (1/8 NM) using a 0.08 µs pulsewidth. User interaction is facilitated by a "j-dial" (jog dial) and "j-stick" (joystick) for menu navigation, control of the location pointer, Variable Range Marker (VRM), Electronic Bearing Line (EBL), gain, and clutter reduction functions.
