Description

The French Navy PANG is a new program being carried out by the Naval Group launched in December 2020 and intended to deliver a next generation aircraft carrier in the late 2030s as replacement for the Charles de Gaulle. The new aircraft carrier will feature a larger displacement, a nuclear propulsion system utilizing K22 power reactor, and up to 30 FCAS combat aircraft. The French Navy expects to commission the 75,000-ton PANG by 2038 with the construction slated to start by 2025.
