Description
The EASAT PSR (Primary Surveillance Radar) is an S-band (2,700–2,900 MHz) terminal area radar designed for air traffic control, airspace surveillance, and landing approach guidance at airports. It employs a parabolic antenna with a cosecant-squared pattern and separate high and low beam receive channels to enhance fixed-target rejection. The radar's horn radiators can switch between linear and circular polarization, and its transmitter utilizes 12 or 24 solid-state amplifier modules, which are hot-swappable. The system can tolerate the failure of up to two amplifier modules without significant loss of its instrumented range of 110–220 km.
