Description
The TRS-3015 is an L-band 2D naval radar developed in the early 1990s by Thomson-CSF NCS France for air and surface surveillance. Known as DRBV 21A or “Mars” in the French Navy, it is an evolution of the TRS-3010 “Jupiter,” featuring twice the number of power amplifier modules in its 250 kW peak power transmitter. While it replaced the obsolete DRBV 22A, it retained its antenna and incorporated the same analog receiver as the DRBV 15C “Sea Tiger” radar. The system has an instrumented range of 160 nautical miles (300 km) and an antenna rotation speed of 12 rpm.
